How to Crack IB ACIO Grade II Officer Exams
Exam Plan for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer – Grade II
IB ACIO Grade II Officer Exams are held by Ministry of Home Affairs. These exams consists of two Papers : -
1. Paper I based on Objective Type Questions related to Comprehension, General Awareness or General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning, Mathematical Ability etc.
2. Paper II is of Descriptive Type based on English Writing Skill and Analytical Capability
The Total which has been allotted for both the Papers is 100 minutes that is 1 Hour and 40 minutes only.
The salary for this Job is Rs. 9300 to Rs. 34800 along with a Grade Pay Rs. 4200
The Syllabus of IB ACIO Grade II Officer Exams is as follows -
1. Comprehension in which candidates basic understanding over the English language is tested.
2. Current Affairs and General Knowledge based on Science, Business, Research, Politics, Banking, Economy Etc. sections will be covered in this section.
3. Reasoning Skills which has the topics included like Similarities and Differences, Space Visualization, Discriminating Observation, Problem Solving, Analysis, Judgment, Relationship Concepts, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Arithmetical Number Series, Non-Verbal Series, Figure Classification, Etc
4. Maths topics such as Decimals and Fractions and Relationship between Numbers, Number Systems, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Computation of Whole Numbers, Percentages, Averages, Ratio and Proportion, Simple & Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Ratio and Time, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Use of Tables and Graphs, Time and Work,Etc.
Many Study Materials are available in the Market such as KIRAN PRAKASHAN, ARIHANT PUBLICATION etc. Candidate should clear their concepts in Maths and should refer NCERT books till class 10th or R.S. Agrawal.
The minimum required age is 18 years and maximum is 27 years.
The applicant should be graduate or hold bachelor’s degree from a well recognised institute
There will be a written exam and those who qualify will be called for personal interview as conducted by the organization.
The Application fees for this exam is Rs. 100 for general category and there is no fees for reserved category candidates like SC ST or women.
Candidates can apply Both online and offline to fill the application form. Online application form starts from 13th July up to 12th of August every year. The exam date might be 15th of September Every year and Result can be declared on 31st of October. The Date of Interview is would be scheduled on 16th of November.

Department of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) Affairs, dealing with the constitutional provisions in respect of the State of Jammu & Kashmir and all other matters relating to the State excluding those with which the Ministry of External Affairs is concerned.
Department of Home
Dealing with the notification of assumption of office by the President and Vice-President, notification of appointment/resignation of the Prime Minister, Ministers, Governors, nomination to Rajya Sabha/Lok Sabha, Census of population, registration of births and deaths, etc
Department of Official Language
Dealing with the implementation of the provisions of the Constitution relating to official languages and the provisions of the Official Languages Act, 1963.
Department of States
Dealing with Centre-State relations, Inter-State relations, administration of Union Territories, Freedom Fighters’ pension, Human rights, Prison Reforms, Police Reforms, etc.
The Department of Internal Security, Department of States, Department of Home, Department of Jammu and Kashmir Affairs and Department of Border Management do not function in watertight compartments. They all function under the Union Home Secretary and are inter-linked. There is a designated Secretary for Department of Border Management and Internal Security also.
