The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is conducting the Maharashtra Assistant Engineer recruitment Examination (MAERE). MPSC helds various examination for the recruitment of candidates for the various posts for the different offices and department of the government of Maharashtra.
All the eligible candidates who are going to participate in this competitive examination should know that the examination is scheduled to be held on 15 June, 2014. Students looking for their admit card/ hall ticket for written examination are required to download their MPSC Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) Service Examination Call Letter/Admit Card 2014 from the link provided above.
Possession of admit Card is compulsory for all candidates in order to appear at examination centre.
The Admit cards has already been uploaded and students are required to visit and download the same.
Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is a Constitutional Body established Within Article 315 of Constitution of India that provides a smooth and efficient functioning of the Government of Maharashtra (GoM) by providing appropriate candidates for several Government posts and advise them on various service matters like formulation of Recruitment Rules (RR), recommend promotions, transfers and disciplinary moves etc. As per Article 320 of the Constitution of India, MPSC has actually been entrusted with the following major functions:-
(1) To execute exams for appointments to the service of Government of Maharashtra and its allied organizations.
(2) To advise the state Government on:
(a) Matters referring to methods of recruitment to the several services
(b) Suitability of candidates for appointment to the services through making promotions, deputations and nominations and transfers
(c) Disciplinary matters influencing Government servants, transfers
(d) Claims for refund of legal expenses incurred by Government servants while securing legal proceedings established against them for acts done or purporting to be done in the execution of their duties.transfers
(e) Claims for award of injury/family pension to Government servants and;transfers
(f) Any other matter referred to them by the Governor;
(3) In addition, in the State of Maharashtra, the Commission deals with the following matters:
(A) Under Section 80-B of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, the Commission have been entrusted with the accountability of advising.
(a) The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai concerning appointments to posts under the control of Corporation that happen to be comparable to or higher than the post Executive Engineer. And;
(b) The Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport undertaking regarding appointments to posts in Grade A II.
(B) To hold departmental examinations for certain Government Departments for employees of their Departments and suggestions Government regarding various other matters relating to the examinations
(1) To execute exams for appointments to the service of Government of Maharashtra and its allied organizations.
